personalized stationary

I am trying to find stationary to have personalized for my friend who just got engaged. I wanted to give her a gift that reflects the upcoming change in her last name, and what better gift to show this than stationary that has been personalized with her new name. A few I found on www.pennypeople.com:

I also come across these adorable stickers:

an everyday classic

Now that I have my diamond studs back from the jeweler (I accidentally vacuumed one up and bent the post) I have been wearing them almost everyday. Something about a pair of earrings that are an everyday classic, I just love. I came across this pair on AUTO and love them.

glowstick art

"Street artists are using simple glowsticks to produce an amazing variety of light art and graffiti. These tags, comics, creatures and shapes fade as fast as they appear, unless they is captured by time-lapse photography. Like traditional graffiti and street art, light art comes in many forms."

I think these photos are really interesting. Found them on web urbanist, one of my new fav sites.

color with every step

With stairs like this, how could you ever have a gloomy day? I've often thought a zebra print would be fun on stairs but this takes runners on stairs to a whole new level!

being fashionable even in the great outdoors

Who knew there was such a thing as fashionable camping equipment? Orla Kiely has an adorable tent with matching sleeping bags and other gear. This collection makes me want to pack up the car and head to the Sierras

sunday afternoon

I spent a better part of yesterday driving around town to find a frame for the pink poster. I finally ended up at Cheap Pete's Framing in the inner Richmond (yelp'ing about this place later today). While cheaper than most frame stores it is not ikea cheap but better quality. I originally wanted to go white but I think the blond wood looks just as nice. Also in the second pic is one of my flea market finds from 2 weeks back. A vintage Havoline Oil tin. While I have a few "red cup" mugs to remind me of my days advertising Starbucks and the crazy planning season of the Holiday red cup campaign, I felt the tin would be a great memento of my Havoline advertising days. If this trend continues, I'll eventually be driving a MINI around town vs. the blue jetta? I do love the MINI. Finally, the close up of the pillow shows the great detail of the one of the Mexican pillows I was talking about in an earlier post. I finally found inserts for them. I am slightly happy I did not have to resort to making custom inserts, however I was up for the challenge.
