today was a fairytale...

To quote Miss Swift, today (well, this past Thursday) was a fairytale.

Why? Because I met TAYLOR!

I was in LA for work (very fun work i may add) and was working from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Beverly Hills. I could get into the details of the long story, but for sake of keeping it short basically, she came into the cafe while I was there. I will post the full story later when I have more time.

While so many things are CRAZY in my life right now, it's funny how GREAT things can happen too! That's life!

when life gives you lemons...

make lemon aid. And BOY, It's going to be some SWEET lemon aid when I am done!!

One big lemon is my car. It basically went to the shitter and the cost to repair it is just under $3K. My car is only worth maybe $4K! While I am happy to see it go (we had our issues over the last 6 years, oh jetta), I wish it had been on MY time and not when i least expected it. Don't get me wrong, I like change, and i know change is good, but changing my "home" and my car both unexpectedly and not planned is not my preference. BUT I know i will be stronger after I get through it all. This truly is a test God is putting me through, and i need to embrace that and learn and grow through this. What a challenge!

And because every post should have a picture... I decided to post this one from Montana. Jen took me to the "cowboy store" where they had little baby chickens and ducks for sale. It made me want to have a yard/a farm so i could raise one!

Oregon and Montana

I finally took a week off work and headed home to Oregon (Easter and Mom's b-day) and then over to Bozeman to visit Jennifer and Nate. I was SO NICE to have a break from work (the longest vacation i have had at BSSP other than xmas break) and be with family. I am still sorting through and editing photos, but here are a few until i post more.

apartment hunt - update #1

As most of my readers know, after 3 years of an amazing apartment, sadly, I am needing to find a new place (unless I win the lottery or meet a sugar daddy). Long story short, Megan (my roommate that actually lives full time in SB is getting married. I am sad to move, BUT excited to decorate a new place and make a new home.

So, the search is on. And I saw a place I liked this Saturday, however it's at the top of my price range (of course), so I put in an offer a little lower than asking with the listing agent with the date I would want to move (May at the earliest). I decided, why not? If it's meant to be, it will happen! While I brought my camera along, I forgot to take photos, doh!

But it's a cute 1 bed / 1 bath in Laurel Heights, my new favorite neighborhood in SF.

Can't wait for the weekend to start. Hopefully I will be taking a photo class tomorrow, but for sure my weekend will contain brunch, mani-pedi and church... and some spring cleaning. Just the perfect relaxing weekend.

Lucca's 1st Birthday

v-day + 3 day weekend = girls day

For Presidents Day weekend (yah for a 3 day weekend!), a few friends and I tried to get out of town to enjoy the long weekend (we looked into Carmel/Big Sur), but as it was also v-day hotels were all booked :(. So, we settled for staying local and having a lovely girls day full of food (brunch and dinner!), papering and even the cheesy movie Valentines Day. Amazing fun, Ladies.

I went to Santa Cruz last weekend for the City Church Retreat and a few of us went to the Natural Bridges State Park/Beach beach Saturday afternoon.

Friday after work I stopped by the Chaos for a little play time with Lucca and to catch up with Kelsey. Lucca and I went on a walk/crawl with her puppy, she also took her balloon with her!
